Maidens who stay maidens turn into saints. Old women become sorceresses.
Tough jobs, both of these.

~ Tanith Lee

That's what noir feels like to me.
It feels like some kind of recurring dream, with very strong archetypes operating. You know, the guilty girl being pursued, falling, all kinds of stuff that we see in our dreams all the time.

~ Brian De Palma

Archetypes, in spite of their conservative nature, are not static but in a continuous dramatic flux. Thus the self as a monad or continuous unit would be dead. But it lives inasmuch as it splits and unites again. There is no energy without opposites!

~ Carl Jung

Always go with the choice that scares you
the most, because that’s the one
that is going to require the most from you. "

~ Caroline Myss

There is also material on the alchemical journey that each one of us makes. The path of growth that unfolds before us this lifetime. Reading on Archetypes is already in place, as is a section on the predictable crises of adult life.

We envisage more on mythology, Jospeh Cambell and the Hero's (and Heroine's) Journey.

And we'll see where we are led ...

The work in progress can be viewed at the link below.
